Our birth marked a watershed moment in our parents' lives. For the first time, they cuddled us with great love and commitment that they will protect and do everything for us.
We were born free. We treasured the times when our parents provided for us. We needed to live on our own as time passed. We made new friends and searched for a way forward. However, we fell into a trap while looking. We are exploited. As a result, the freedom we once had is now only a dream.
What is real freedom?
We were born free. We treasured the times when our parents provided for us. We needed to live on our own as time passed. We made new friends and searched for a way forward. However, we fell into a trap while looking. We are exploited. As a result, the freedom we once had is now only a dream.
What is real freedom?
First, true freedom occurs when we are liberated from the shackles of restrictive rules, allowing us to freely choose for ourselves without fear of rejection.
Second, it is true freedom when we are able to rise above dogmas, conditions, rituals, and traditions in order to pursue spiritual maturity, knowledge, and experience.
Finally, when we can fully exercise our sonship, we have no fear because we know we are unconditionally loved by the Father.
The Son promised freedom (Galatians 5:1). He gave us freedom not only from our past but also for today and tomorrow. But why are we still not free? Why have we not felt safe until now? Why are we unable to pursue our desires until now? We are constantly concerned about what those above or around us may say or do. We have yearned for true freedom but don't know how to get it.
The following are the basic principles on how to break the chain and start living as a true free child of the Father.
First, Do not let anyone manipulate us. Always remember that we are not owned by anyone else; we are children of the most powerful Father in heaven. He instilled His Spirit in us (Romans 8:15). We have His DNA—Divine Nature of Abba—so we are not supposed to suffer from abuse of authority or by someone above us. As a result, it is critical to understand the personalities of the manipulators in order to avoid them. But How? Simple. Manipulators like to impose their ideas as if they are perfect on the claim. They demanded complete submission from us. They are not, however, transparent. They do not treat us as brothers and sisters; rather, they treat us as inferior or second-class citizens.
Second, do not allow fear to creep into our lives. Fear enters our lives when we are unaware of our true identity. We are the Almighty Father's children, as I mentioned earlier. So our identity is formed not by our position, title, or affiliation with an organization, but by our identity as children of our Heavenly Father (John 1:12). The difference between a son and an orphan is that the son enjoys the Father's favor, whereas the orphan must continue to perform in order to earn the Father's favor. The son understands his Father's heart well, but the orphan is duped, so he is always a performing slave controlled by fear. However, the son is content and enjoys Father's love. There is no reason to be afraid if we know we are a child of our loving Father. We are meant to be free.
Third, Do not let our passion fade. Our Heavenly Father has wired us with a distinct passion. So, if we do not pursue our passion, we will suffer greatly. Many people lack freedom because they do not pursue their passion. We may be passionate about painting, traveling abroad, doing community service, teaching small children, pioneering, sports, running a business, working in an international company, pastoring a group of believers, and other activities. Remember that there is nothing wrong with being passionate; however, if we allow our passion to die, we will perish (Proverbs 29:18). We will not be set free unless we do what we are passionate about.
Fourth, don't let our weaknesses hold us back. Remember that all of the Biblical giants of faith failed. For example, David was an adulterer before becoming a man after the Father's heart. Moses was a hothead, but the father used him to lead the deliverance of His children. Despite Abraham's failure to wait for the promised child, the father made him the father of faith. Peter denied the Son three times before becoming a pioneer of the ekklesia, Jonah is a runaway prophet who became a revivalist, and so on. Instead of posing confidently and appearing very holy and clergy, why not consider ourselves a trophy of grace? If we do this, we will be free of guilt. The Father's grace is revealed only through our weaknesses (1 Corinthians 12:9), and as a result, we became more grateful for his unconditional love.
Lastly, do not deceive ourselves. To be seen as upright, we do not need to look like anyone else or wear a uniform. Be unique. If we know who we truly are, we are content with how the almighty Father created us (Psalm 139:14). We are still not free because we continue to imitate others. We want to be like them, to wear dresses and jeans like them, to follow their fashion and slung, to use similar smartphones like them, drive cars like them, build houses like them, and so on. We will not be free if we continue to do things based on what we see from others or what is popular. We will always feel inadequate and unhappy because there is always someone better than us. That is why we are admonished in Scripture to fix our eyes on what is unseen rather than what is seen because what is unseen has eternal value, whereas what is seen is only temporal.
