Staring the sun descending behind the horizon and pondering as the canvas of the blue ocean turning its color to orange are among the outdoor activities that we love to do.
It was valentines day, the year 2018. I learned a lesson from the past that having this day just a normal day can be a cause of friction in our relationship.
Recalling what had happened, still echoing in my brain what she told me:
"You have already changed. What happened?"
Then I realize that I was lousy at expressing myself. Actually, I would like to outpour my heart that nothing changed. I am 100 % the same. But often, I do not know how. I have to confess that I am poor sometimes in extracting my emotion.
My personality is actually an extrovert, but sometimes I am quiet and reserved.
My commitment is immovable. With this metaphor, I describe my love for three tenses in grammar: past, present, and future. So what I used to be "I am" is the same "I am" today and tomorrow.
One stem of a rose from our garden was not enough to prove. So I decided that we would go somewhere. Maybe at the seaside Pakbang, Langu, Satun, South of Thailand. A place where we could have a bare view of the sunset. We brought our picnic equipment, food, and beach toys for our kids.
There was nobody when we arrived. We could only hear the sound of birds and the smooth splash of ocean waves. It seemed like the entire shoreline and the beautiful scenic view were only reserved for us.
It was low tide so our kids could have enough space to play on the shore. We spread our mats and sat while gazing at the luminosity of the sunset as it reflected on the vast ocean. The color was like orange liquid paint scattered on the canvas of the water.
Again we reminded ourselves of the true meaning of love described in the Scripture:

Again we reminded ourselves of the true meaning of love described in the Scripture:
Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, and it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts always hopes, and always perseveres.
(I Corinthians 13:4-7)
I actually look at the original translation of love in the Greek language that was used by the author in this particular verse, and I found that love here is from the word "agape", which means "unconditional love".
