Faith When Life Takes You to Unexpected Middle

Now that I am a father I always find ways to read inspirational stories to my children. One of the many stories I found very interesting in the Scripture is the story of Joseph in Genesis 37.

If you can still remember the Father Almighty gave a dream to a young boy Joseph that one day His brothers would bow down before him. Abba unveiled to him the good end of His life and this promise took roots in Joseph's heart.

However, what Abba did not show to Joseph what would happen in the middle. Years went by, when his dream came to pass and Joseph gained a very high position in a foreign land, I can imagine him saying, “Abba you gave me this incredible dream, but you did not tell me I would be thrown into a pit, sold to slavery, falsely accused of a crime, and jailed for years.”

If Joseph is here today, he would tell us:

“Be still! Take heart in the process. When life turns us to what we don’t expect, always remember that our Father Almighty had made a promise with us.”

Abba is faithful and He would not disappoint us. This promise is rooted in our hearts, but what is around us or what we are going through says it is not going to work out.

For sure our Abba would not give us a dream that we can’t fulfill. Whatever is the size of our problems, whatever we are going through in life, they are always equitable to the size of our destiny.

So keep your faith close to your heart. Whoever gives thanks the Father in times of hardship can turn difficulties into blessings.
