In the new testament, Pharisees believed they were so intimate with the Father because they knew well the law. And they knew well how to perform and achieved impressive results to inspire the public but their hearts were far from the Father. They were well-known masters, doctors, or scholars of the Scripture. But, when they stood to speak, they were the most boring speakers. NO PASSION AND NO SPIRIT.
Why?
Because they hid on their own self-made academia and righteousness. They used their own-made qualifications to disqualify people. And in their hearts, there was no genuine love. They were the number one manipulators who finally sabotaged the crucifixion of the Son. This is the reason why they were always the performing slaves, never could be a child of the Father, and always known as hypocrites. Read more here.
