I am always contemplating how I can dedicate my best time to my children while they are still young. One day, they will embark on their own paths, pursuing their dreams and starting their own families.
I am reflecting on the profound impact of spiritual values in our culture and homes. Ephesians 6:4 advises fathers, saying, "Fathers, do not provoke your children to anger, but bring them up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord."
Here are some questions that I find worth pondering:
- What causes our children to become angry and disrespectful towards their fathers?
- How can fathers discipline their children in a way that is understood as an expression of love and earns their respect?
- How can fathers incorporate the teachings of the Lord into their children's upbringing?
I have witnessed elderly individuals burdened by deep regrets about their past mistakes. They yearn to rectify the wrongs they committed, but sadly, it remains an unfulfilled dream. Instead, they must face the consequences until their last breath in this world.
In the Kingdom of our Almighty Father, fatherhood holds great significance. A father who is committed to nurturing his children is unwavering in his dedication, offering them his time, resources, and love. On the other hand, someone lacking fathering qualities tends to exert control over his children. He manipulates rather than guides, using fear to maintain authority, which ultimately leaves the children feeling more afraid of him than excited to be with him.
The Almighty Father finds immense joy in dining and spending time with His children. He cherishes those moments when he can freely converse without formalities or hidden agendas. His happiness knows no bounds when He witnesses His children feeling at ease or comfortable in His presence. And he is saddened when his children are afraid of him or feeling distant from him.
