We Are Thankful For Our Children

Time flies!

Abba says that our children are heritage and reward from Him (Psalm 127:3). Yes indeed, they are! That truth is totally different from the existing ideas around us. For them, their children are their property but for us, our children are our heaven's gift. So we cherish our children more than we own them.

Whenever I ponder the goodness of the Farther Almighty in my life, I could not stop myself to exalt Him. I am thankful for His faithfulness and to all our families and friends who have been with us through the years. I am thankful for the privilege that we have been with our children as they gradually grow up. Actually, we chose to stay near to them at the expense of our comfort. We tried our very best to build a house where there is a home. This is the way Abba loves the church( His children), that He is more than willing to give up His comfort and embrace suffering for us to be with Him (Ephesians 5:25). He desperately wants us to be with Him, to enjoy His love, His gentleness, and His personality. Always remember that He did not elect us to be His slaves or servants. But, He did choose us to be His sons and daughters.

How do you feel when you are being wanted by someone? That is what exactly He feels about us. And as parents, we called to do the same. We are thankful. Amidst the difficulties that we had been through as new parents; He has not left us. We know that more challenges are waiting ahead. But, let us be assured and don't lose heart; Abba is our source of strength when we are weak, our supply in times of need, and our hope in our tomorrow's uncertainties.
