Nana's Miracle Story

By Ianpassion

Nana was deprived of oxygen in Nittie's womb for approximately 18 hours after her water bag ruptured. It happened around 12:01 a.m. on April 20. We rushed to a nearby hospital, but no doctor was available. So, they took Nittie by ambulance to the main provincial hospital in Satun Province.

When we arrived at the provincial hospital, the nurse said we had to wait for the doctor to arrive the following day, as Nittie was not yet in labor. The doctor arrived around 10 a.m. the next day, but he bypassed Nittie. When we asked the nurse about it, she said Nittie was not considered an emergency case yet and was not the doctor’s (booked) patient. We were speechless. Deeply troubled. Nana, still in the womb, was no longer moving.

I told Nittie we should leave the hospital and go to PSU—the largest hospital in Southern Thailand. But we couldn’t leave until we signed an agreement stating that the hospital where we were admitted would no longer be responsible for anything that happened afterward. The process was delayed because some of the signatories weren’t yet present. We finally left around 2 p.m. and drove over 100 kilometers to PSU in Songkhla Province.

We arrived late in the afternoon. Nittie was immediately placed in emergency care and transferred to the delivery room.

I sat directly in front of the delivery room, waiting. Nittie hadn’t slept at all. We were both utterly exhausted. But I could still sing, “The Almighty Father is the strength of our hearts...” I prayed that Nittie and Nana wouldn’t give up. My eyes were tired, but my faith was strong. I couldn’t take my gaze off the delivery room door.

Around 8 p.m., Nittie’s doctor came out. I stood up and walked toward him.

“You have a healthy daughter, and your wife is fine,” he said as he approached me.

Hallelujah!

Nana is a miracle of the Almighty Father's unfailing love for us. I pray that as she grows and faces the perilous influences of our modern, technocratic society, she will always remember what the Lord has done for her. May she never forget that her life is a gift from Above.
